Albuquerque Laser Lipo utilizes the Meridian Medical Lapex 2000 which was designed, developed, and researched by a group of medical doctors in British Columbia, Canada. This Lapex 2000 employs 16 lasers on two delivery paddles which are placed directed on the skin. It is completely PAINLESS, the only sensation you will feel is a slight warmth. It is an approved health care modality in Canada and paid for by their national health care plan. In the United States, medical lasers for the reduction of fat are considered cosmetic procedures and are therefore not covered under most insurance plans. This laser has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of pain and inflammation and may be used for fat reduction by licensed physicians.
The BCS Lapex has two paddles which are placed directly over the area needing to be reduced. Since this is considered to be a "cold laser", the patient relaxes and feels nothing while the 16 lasers do their work. Each session lasts approximately 40 minutes.
